Immersive virtual reality lets people practise real work in realistic conditions, and it can record almost everything they do while they are training. My research is about which of that actually matters: what it takes to turn behaviour in a simulation into a fair picture of someone’s skill, and into training tailored towards their learning needs.
I work design-based, developing and testing in real training practice, and I investigate how domain experts and AI can together make sense of the enormous amount of behaviour a simulation can record.
